CodeIgniter Community Chieftain, a New Member Recognition Program
The CodeIgniter community has announced a new program for the members who have demonstrated an exceptional knowledge and love of the framework in the community, called
CodeIgniter Community Chieftains. Derek Jones, EllisLab CTO, goes explaining that a CodeIgniter Community Chieftain would help maintain the forums, wiki, and the bug tracker, and act as a public liaison to the EllisLab development team when necessary.
The community has also brought in their first Chieftan,
Michael Wales, a staff sergeant in the US Air Force.
“This is an invitation only program as the aforementioned link explains, and we’re proud to bring Michael Wales on board as our first CodeIgniter Community Chieftain. Most will need no introduction to Michael as you have likely already encountered him or some of his contributions in the community. Welcome aboard, Michael,” writes Jones.
